This print was created at Paper Can Dance as the part of the As We Grow program, led by Shalva Nikvashvili.

As We Grow is our 14day educational research programe taking place at SVĚTOVA 1 and field trips to nature, workshops, second-hands or other institutions. At it's core lies intergenerational dialogue and the exchange of experiences between participants chosen via open call and a selected leading artist. Each iteration is unique and designed in a dialogue with all who are taking part. AWG encourages learning through making attitudes and culminates in a group exhibition. In 2023, we strengthened our AWG and focused on supporting early-career artists. The second AWG of 2023 is led by Shalva Nikvashvili (1990, Sighnaghi / Georgia), who lives and works in Germany.

Pit Reding (@rp.p._) is a self-taught photographer and openly queer individual, resides in Luxembourg. Following his education at Lycée des Arts et Métiers, he initially worked as a graphic designer in an advertising company.

Discovering a passion for photography, he swiftly realized where his true interests lay. Photography provided him with a means to capture moments he found deeply meaningful and wished to share. After a few years, he transitioned to turn his passion into his profession, inaugurating his own studio in 2020. This shift enabled him to expand his creative horizons and collaborate with individuals from across Luxembourg and its surrounding regions. Lacking a formal education in photography allowed Pit to forge his unique path without limitations.

In his first exhibition in 2020, he explored the challenges of self-expression, particularly before coming out as a queer individual. Since then, he has endeavored to incorporate more representation from the LGBTIQ+ community in his work. His objective is to provide a platform for as many individuals as possible, irrespective of their backgrounds.

Additionally, Pit extensively works with nude self-portraits, using this form of expression to explore and accept his body while leveraging nudity as a way to showcase vulnerability and express his true self.
